হ্যাকাথন কি?

আমরা যদি সায়েন্টিফিক কমিউনিটির কথা চিন্তা করি , এখানে এই কম্পিটিশনটি তুলনামূলক নতুন, যার ফলে আমাদের অনেকেরই হয়তো ধারনা নেই হ্যাকাথন কি? চলুন দেখে নেওয়া যাক হ্যাকাথন কি এবং কেন আপনি এখানে অংশগ্রহন করবেন?

হ্যাকাথন হচ্ছে এমন একটা ইভেন্ট যার মাধ্যমে উদ্যমী মানুষদের একসাথে করে টিমওয়ার্ক এর মাধ্যমে কোন একটি জটিল সমস্যার উদ্ভাবনী সমাধান করা হয়ে থাকে। এক্ষত্রে সমসযাটি হতে পারে কোন নির্দিষ্ট ফিল্ডের কিংবা কয়েকটি ফিল্ডের জ্ঞানকে একই সাতে কাজে লাগানোর মত সমস্যাও হতে পারে ।

কারোও হয়তো এমন মনে হতে পারে যে হ্যাকাথন শুধু তথাকথিত মেধাবীদের জন্য। বাস্তবে ব্যাপারটা এমন না, যারা একটু চিন্তা করতে, নতুন কিছু করতে ভালবাসে এবং সমস্যার সমাধান করতে ভালবাসে হ্যাকাথন তাদের জন্যই।নিজেদের টিমওয়ার্কের মাধ্যমে একটা প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরিবেশে নিজেদের সর্বোচ্চটাই বের করে আনার লক্ষে আপনি অংশ নিতে পারেন কেমিক্যাল হ্যাকাথনের এই পর্বে।

ক্যামিকাল হ্যাকাথনের লক্ষ্য কি?

রসায়নের একজন বিজ্ঞানীর কথা চিন্তা করুনতো! আপনার মাথায় হয় একজন বৃদ্ধ রসায়বিদের হাতে কনিক্যাল ফ্লাস্ক কিংবা এপ্রোন পরা একজন নারীর হাতে ধোয়া উঠা বিকারের চিত্র মাথায় আসবে না? সময় এসেছে চিত্র বদলানোর । আজকের রসায়ন আরো চ্যালেঞ্জিং , অটোমেটেড এবং যন্ত্রের ব্যবহারে ভরপুর , যেখানে কাজ করার জন্য আপনার অনেক সফটস্কিলস থাকা দরকার। যার মধ্যে অন্যতম হচ্ছে সৃজনশীল চিন্তাধারা,সমস্যা খুজে বের করা এবং সমন্বয়ের মাধ্যমে কাজ করার মানসিকতা ।

What’s a hackathon?

Hackathons are relatively new when it comes to contests among the scientific society. So many of us know little about the concept of it, and most have never participated in one. So, let’s find out what it is and why you, yes, you! Should participate in the Chemical Hackathon 2022.

A hackathon is an event that brings together enthusiasts to improve upon or build a new innovative solution to an existing problem. The problem assigned could be of a specific field, for instance- building a new software in a coding hackathon; or it could be about a versatile issue that requires knowledge of several fields to come together.

One may think that hackathons are for only the extraordinarily talented. The answer to that misunderstanding is a “NO”. Hackathons are for anyone who’s interested in brainstorming, is dedicated to problem solving, and is interested in innovation. This is a fun opportunity to learn and share, to interact with fellow peers, and learn teamwork, and to engage in healthy competition. Everyone is a problem solver at heart, and this is your chance to discover the genius in you.

The goal of Chemical Hackathon-

When you think about a chemical scientist, which picture comes to your mind? Is it a curly haired old man holding a conical flask, or a lady in a lab coat with a fuming beaker? Well, it’s time to update that picture! Chemical scientists nowadays work in complex, highly automated laboratories, and require more soft skills than technical ones. Creative thinking, problem identification, and intensive collaboration are common requirements in the scientific community now.

The purpose of this hackathon is to encourage participants to see the wonders of chemistry scattered all around us and think beyond ordinary concepts to find creative solutions. With this view in mind, ChemFusion organized Bangladesh’s first Chemical Hackathon in 2021 and the second as part of ChemFusion International ChemFest 2022.

The 3rd Bangladesh Chemical Hackathon-2023 will be held in February 2023
